Seems I've been writing all my life. I received my first rejection letter at the age of five for a creative story I submitted to "Highlights" magazine. But that early roadblock didn't stop my desire to write.
My communications career began in 1990 as a journalist, I told the stories of murder victims, cancer patients, and of people who lost their homes and businesses to natural disasters.
In the corporate world, I managed the simultaneous production of a dozen quarterly publications. I oversaw editorial meetings between executives and staff members across several time zones. I wrote brochures, direct mail pieces, press releases, ad copy, and newsletters -- most under harrowing deadlines.
